“I came to Paris because I like PSG club. I have friends and a lot of other people that I know in the team’s dressing room, teammates from the national team or some people that I have worked with before. It seems easier for me to adapt than anywhere else I can go. That’s why I decided to go to Paris without too much consideration.

Messi also admitted that living in France was sometimes difficult. “Truth, it was a much more difficult adaptation than I expected. Apart from the fact that I know the people in the dressing room and I have a good relationship with them, it is still very complicated to adapt to a new change. I joined the team quite late, I did not participate in pre-season competitions and training. I also had to adapt to a new city, it was also difficult for me and my family.

However, after difficulties in adapting, Messi gradually integrated into PSG, but eventually led to the end not as he wanted. “I’ve had a lot of support since I first came to PSG. But then people started treating me differently. Part of the PSG fans, the rest and the vast majority still treat me as good as at first. But there was a rift with the PSG fans. I didn’t mean to create that tension. It happened to Neymar and Mbappe before. Mbappe, who supported me from the beginning”, added Messi.

Messi after deciding not to renew with PSG, nor return to his old club Barcelona. He currently chooses to join Inter Miami club in the MLS (USA) and will make his competitive debut on July 21, in the new journey of his illustrious career.
