Great news! Vol’o has announced that its first minivan will arrive soon, and this is the first image of it.It will be called EM90 and is described as an “all-electric premium MPV” that has been designed to feel “like a Scandinavian living room in the moʋe”. A piece of furniture like IKEA on wheels. ProƄally.
But wait, Volʋo has already canned all of its saloons and estates for the UK, so are we getting the first MPV? Unlikely.
“Initially, this model will be offered only in mainland China,” a Vol’o spokesperson said. “There are currently no plans to offer this vehicle in the UK.”
Shame. It looks like the EM90 will be based on a similar Geely product, the Zeekr 009, which claims a range of 511 miles from its giant 140 kWh battery and a frankly ridiculous 536 horsepower from its dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain. However, expect the Scandinavian version to make do with a little less grille and of course you get the classic Thor’s hammer lighting.
That’s all we know so far, but the full launch is scheduled for November, with pre-orders starting for Chinese customers that same day.
