In an interview with CNN Sport, forward Neymar officially confirmed that he has committed to joining Inter Miami with Messi and Suarez, and will retire with the club’s colors as promised.
“Of course. It’s incredible. Messi and Suarez are my close friends and we talk every day. We have a group of just 3 people who talk to each other about everything. We also agree when and in Barcelona they will play together with the same club shirt before they retire,” Neymar revealed.
Asked further about the possibility of playing the 2025 season in the United States before attending the 2026 World Cup to be held here with the two co-hosts, Mexico and Canada, Neymar said: “I will try, I want to be there. It would be interesting to revive the MSN trio (Messi, Suarez, Neymar).”
However, Neymar also admitted: “I still have a contract with Al Hilal. I am also very happy with life in Saudi Arabia. But in football, who knows, surprises always happen.”
Neymar is under contract with Al Hilal Club until June 2025. Currently, the 32-year-old Brazilian star is free to find a new club to join if he so wishes, while negotiating an extension with the Saudi Arabian side is completely unlikely.
Many rumours at the end of 2024 point to Neymar being very interested in signing for Inter Miami alongside Messi and Suárez if there is a good solution, or he will return to Santos Club (Brazil).
Neymar is also in recovery and has just returned to training. However, it is still unclear whether he will be able to play in the Saudi Pro League or not. If there is still no chance, the striker will consider leaving Al Hilal Club early, as the winter transfer window is still open until the end of January.
Meanwhile, Neymar is aiming to return to playing for the Brazilian national team during the upcoming FIFA Days in March. In this way, step by step, he will rejoin the green and gold team on the road to the 2026 World Cup.
