Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar swap shirts for hard hats and jackets as the WORLD’S TOP STARS visit £263m construction site

Stars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar were among the Paris Saint-Germain players who recently saw the building site of their new £263 million training facility. The players, wearing jackets and hard hats, had a personal glimpse at the facilities where they will start training for the upcoming season.

PSG players including Lionel Messi and Neymar have visited the club's new training facility

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the chairman of PSG, welcomed the players to the location and said he hoped the new training facility will provide them the best opportunity to succeed in the long run. The new complex is roughly 20 miles from their stadium and present Camp des Lodges base, which is east of the French city.

The training facility is anticipated to be finished in the spring after Qatar Sports Investments acquired the team in 2011. Academy players will move in in January 2024, while the first team will move in at the beginning of preseason. In order to build the complex, PSG spent around €300 million, and work started in 2016.

PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi hopes the facility can help PSG achieve even more success

“It’s simply amazing,” PSG captain Marquinhos said during the visit, expressing his excitement. It indicates that the club is on the right track and functions as a large family. The new facility, he continued, offers athletes the confidence they need to keep giving their best performances.

Al-Khelaifi underlined that the training facility intends to solidify PSG’s standing as one of the top sports teams in the world for many years to come. Even though the team has had success at home, winning eight Ligue 1 titles since the takeover, winning the Champions League is still the ultimate aim, and the new training facility is thought to be an essential step toward realizing that goal.
