Lionel Messi traveled to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Wednesday for a celebrity-studded charity event with his esteemed colleagues Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.
The event, which was held at the Baku Crystal Hall, drew a vibrant audience of football enthusiasts who were excited to meet their heroes.
The evening included performances by the well-known Romanian band Morandi, the French singer and composer Willy William, and the “Natiq” rhythm group. An exclusive insight into the life of the renowned player was provided by a special film that showcased Messi’s amazing football journey.
The enthusiasm of the evening was increased when Messi and his teammates signed soccer balls for the fans. In keeping with the players’ commitment to give back, ticket sales proceeds will be donated to worthy charities.
Messi and his friends paid their respects at the grave of Azerbaijan’s renowned leader at the Heydar Aliyev Center when they were in Baku.
They were also mesmerized by the elegance of Karabakh horses, which in Azerbaijan stand for strength and beauty.
