Previously, KSI bested FaZe Temperrr in a dominant showing earlier this year. Although he was meant to take on Dillon Danis, the latter backed out less than two weeks before the fight. Following his victory, it was revealed that KSI’s next opponent would be the 9-0 professional boxer, Joe Fournier.
After weeks of trash talk and back and forths, the two fighters will finally step inside the square-shaped ring and settle their squabbles. Whilst Fournier believes that beating the YouTube sensation will be a walk in the park, ‘JJ’ believes that he can truly put himself on the map by knocking out Fournier. Although he seems quite determined, Fournier will easily be the toughest test for the 29-year-old social media star.
Having infamously beaten two fighters on the same night, confidence has been high for the PRIME Hydration owner. As such, his main motive for this fight is to “do what Jake Paul couldn’t do,” and beat a pro boxer. Whether he succeeds in his endeavor and gets one over Jake Paul, still remains to be seen.
How much will KSI and Joe Fournier make for their clash?
Taking place at the OVO Arena, Wembley in London, KSI and Fournier will fight for the YouTuber’s MF Cruiserweight title. Notably, Fournier has shown real interest in wanting to replace KSI as the face of Misfits Boxing as well. Although the 40-year-old boasts experience over the younger Englishman, ‘JJ’ has shown great explosiveness and power in his previous outings.
Speaking about his previous outings, JJ reportedly made well over the $1 million mark for his second fight against Logan Paul in 2019. Similarly, reports suggest that the YouTuber again made close to $1 million for his fight against FaZe Temperrr. Thus, it is assumed that Olatunji will once again rake in a little above $1 million for his fight against Joe Fournier on May 13th.
On the other hand, it is clear that Fournier is a step up in competition from the FaZe clan member. Not only that, but Fournier actually boasts a higher net worth than his opponent as well. Thus, it is expected that Joe will be getting a significant payday, much higher than Temperrr’s reported $400,000.
With the fight almost upon us, millions around the world will be keen to see who emerges victorious. Arguably one of the biggest crossover boxing events this year, this one cannot be missed. Don’t forget to leave us your picks for the main event in the comments below!
