These tiny balls of fluff are pure bundles of energy, constantly getting into mischief and keeping us endlessly entertained with their quirky antics.
Their boundless energy is something they eventually outgrow, so it’s wise to savor every chaotic moment while it lasts.
Sure, dealing with chewed-up socks or toppled-over plants can feel like a nightmare, but once that whirlwind phase is over, most cat parents find themselves missing it.
I know I do! Even as the proud cat mom of adult felines, I often catch myself reminiscing about the kitten stage – complete with its chaos and charm. It brought so much joy (and a bit of mess) into my life that I can’t help but smile.
Something tells me that Asyra, the fellow cat mom in today’s story, is going to feel the same way about her little fluffball’s kitten days!
Asyra’s kitten, fittingly named Meatball (and you’ll see why in a moment), is an adorable little troublemaker with a quirky new habit – attacking momma’s chicken nuggets!
Kitten Vs. Chicken Nugget: The Battle You Didn’t Know You Needed
A couple of nights ago, during one of my usual late-night scrolls, I stumbled upon Asyra’s TikTok video that truly made me laugh out loud – and woke up my partner!
In the video, her adorable tabby kitten, Meatball, can be seen attacking a chicken nugget, that likely fell off Asyra’s plate onto the floor.
With a ferocious energy and hunting instincts of a true wild predator, Meatball tightly grips the chicken nugget in his paw, biting and kicking it with his hind legs.
He’s literally treating it like his prey – haha!
This hilarious video quickly took TikTok by storm, racking up over 4 million views in no time.
Viewers from around the globe couldn’t get enough, flooding the comments section with their thoughts.
One person wrote:
“He’s killing his food before he eats it. 🤣 getting back to his roots lol”
A woman jokingly added:
“baby you can have it nobody is trying to take that chicken nugget from you ”
While another user related, saying:
“i too get overstimulated and excited about food sometimes”
Well, me too, my friend! Me too! Anyway, here’s the video that started it all:
Normal Feline Behavior
For our feline friends, hunting is hardwired into their system. While most learn it by observing their mothers, it’s also something they do instinctively.
Roger Tabor, recognized as one of the world’s leading authorities on cats, naturalist, and biologist, claims that kittens who have the opportunity to observe their mothers while hunting are more likely to develop these skills.
Despite this, all healthy kitties show at least some degree of interest in predatory behavior, whether it’s playing with toys or, in Meatball’s case, attacking chicken nuggets.
I honestly hope you found Meatball’s video as funny as I did and that it gave you a good laugh.
Now, tell me, did your fluff show similar behavior as a kitten? Feel free to share your story in the comments below!
