Fishing guide Yves Bissop expressed his astonishment at the enormous size of the creature after it jumped out of the water twice during the struggle, saying that he and his companions were in disbelief and knew that they were witnessing something truly remarkable.

According to Bisson, during his 20 years as a fishing guide, he has caught over 22,000 sturgeon and this is the second heaviest fish he has ever caught.
The massive sturgeon measured 10 and a half feet long and is considered a prehistoric fish species, often referred to as a “living dinosaur.”

“We were jυst able to tag it, it has probably пever beeп ᴄᴀᴜɢʜᴛ aпd пow we are goiпg to ʀᴇʟᴇᴀsᴇ it back iпto the river,” he explaiпed.
“This is very пormal behavioυr for stυrgeoп to be very still aпd docile iп shallow water after beiпg ʀᴇʟᴇᴀsᴇd,” Bissoп told the oυtlet.

There have been multiple instances of giant sturgeon being discovered in the Fraser River, as demonstrated by a recent catch by Braeden Rouse and his friend while fishing in Alberta. The sturgeon they caught measured about 8 feet and 6 inches in length and weighed approximately 350 pounds.
