Messi added, “I have taken the decision that I am going to Miami, to leave Europe,” in reference to his choice to turn down Barcelona for Inter Miami.

It’s true that I received offers from other European teams, but I didn’t even consider them because my main goal in Europe was to play for Barcelona.

“It’s time to move to MLS to experience football in a new way and take greater pleasure in my daily life after winning the World Cup and being unable to attend Barcelona.

“Obviously with the same responsibility and desire to win, and to do things well, but with more calm.”
