Kayla, a friendly face at the apartment’s leasing office and an avid animal lover, was the first to hear about the distressed cat. Moved by her plight, thiscaring woman immediately headed out to investigate.

As she drew closer, she saw a piece of paper taped to the mailboxes above the cat’s head – a note that read ‘Please help us’.
