Cornelius Cornbread, a Bombay cat from Columbia, Tennessee, USA, has become an Instagram star thanks to the white markings on his forehead. (Bombay cat is the name given to cats with black fur. Bombay cats are also known as little black leopards or black Burmese cats).

The cat with white eyebrows is the new rising star on Instagram.

The cat’s owner, retired teacher Karen Mellette, said Cornelius had a white tuft of fur since he was a kitten. He was missing hair between his eyes and ears, and then the white fur grew out to look like groomed eyebrows.

It is unclear whether the white eyebrows have anything to do with the downcast, sad, and worried look on the cat’s eyes. This melancholy look of Cornelius is a delight to fans because it is strange.

Thanks to the white eyebrows, the cat becomes really outstanding.

“The combination of the white eyebrow tips above the eyes and the black fur around them makes the cat look like it has well-groomed eyebrows,” the cat’s owner joked.

Karen started posting pictures of Cornelius online in 2018, and the cute cat now has more than 6,000 followers.

Bombay cats are nicknamed “glue cats” because they are so clingy, and Cornelius is no exception , Karen explains.

Cornelius can be very needy. He does not like to be left alone or ignored, and becomes very anxious at the thought of his owner leaving the house without him.
