The photo of a homeless cat embracing a dog whose owners had recently abandoned it became a symbol and true proof that animals can be wonderful models of empathy and compassion for others.
The feline’s kind nature touched thousands of people when it was posted on the Internet by the boy who captured the occurrence in an eastern city but whose identity was not known.
According to passers-by, the dog was completely befuddled and puzzled after being cowardly abandoned.
Soon after, a’veteran’ stray cat appeared, soothing him as though he had been in a similar situation before.
They went on to go everywhere they went from then on, forging a tremendous friendship: on the street, they ration water and food, sleep together, and help each other with the daily messes.
Residents in the neighborhood were affected by the couple’s situation and began feeding them every day. The habits of these animals remained largely unchanged for several months until they were transported to a shelter by a rescue organization.
They were available for adoption, and we hope they will be welcomed into a loving family soon.
Pets now provide companionship, emotional support, decreased feelings of loneliness, and reduced stress levels. It also promotes pleasant feelings and self-esteem, particularly in youngsters. And, while many people love the companionship of their dog or cat and would never contemplate abandoning it, consider it a family member. However, coexistence between people and animals is not always successful, and in some circumstances, when the connection does not work out, adoption is the family’s final alternative. There are a number of reasons why animals are abandoned on the street, including a lack of time to provide them proper attention, economic problems, undesired litters, and parenting concerns. They may have children, additional family members, or they may lose their house.
