This conceptual beauty is designed for nostalgic petrolheads who crave the raw experience of driving. With a naturally aspirated flat 12 engine, independent throttle bodies, and a manual gearbox, the Aliante Barchetta’s appeal lies in its complete absence of electronic driving aids.
Although it retains cues from Ferrari and Pininfarina’s design language from the 2000s, the Aliante Barchetta offers a classic-meets-contemporary design approach, setting it apart from the edgy, faceted design language of modern-day supercars.
The car comes with a carbon fiber monocoque with integrated seats, big scoops, no doors, no windows, and no roof, making it a unique and bold design statement. Designed by a supercars-of-the-heyday fanatic, the 2019 Aliante Barchetta concept clearly pays tribute to the golden era of automotive design, even if, as designer Daniel Soriano eloquently states in his design brief, “modern hipsters will hate it.”
