One of the greatest sportsmen of all time and the second-most followed person on Instagram, Lionel Messi, an Argentine soccer icon and star of Inter Miami, pulled up for the big game, and he looked beaming.
Messi intended to go to the Super Bowl, but USA TODAY Sports reported on Tuesday that he wasn’t sure if he would be able to because of an Inter Miami preseason game on Saturday night in Honduras. He appears to have done it, and knowing that the World Cup champion is watching will probably make Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes very happy.
“Messi is the greatest of all time in his field.” When questioned about a Messi appearance earlier this week, Mahomes said, “It would be great to have someone like that at the game.” “I get to show off my personality and abilities. When he performed in Kansas City, I had the opportunity to see him. It was last year, I believe, or perhaps a couple of years ago.”
As for who Messi is rooting for, the fact that his kids are wearing Chiefs apparel is probably answer enough.
